A novel boron-doped Pd/HY zeolite catalyst for acetylene hydrochlorination was prepared and exhibited an outstanding catalytic performance (the acetylene conversion was maintained at >95% for about 30 h). The boron species can stabilize catalytically active Pd 2+ species and weaken carbon deposition and Pd 2+ reduction during the reaction, thus improving the catalytic stability.
