These results indicated that C-section was associated with higher abundance of the phylum Firmicutes and family Enterococcaceae, and intense fluctuation of SCFA, at least propionate. And breastfeeding might partially contribute to gut microbiota construction and stabilization propionate metabolism in cesarean-section infants.
