Patient age and sex are associated with DRUJ salvage procedure selection. Sauvé-Kapandji procedures are used in higher rates in male and younger patient populations. Furthermore, primary osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are the main underlying pathologies for Darrach and S-K procedures.
