Factors influencing health workers' compliance with the WHO intermittent preventive treatment for malaria in pregnancy recommendations in the Northern Region, Ghana.

Compliance with the recommended IPTp-SP guidelines is suboptimal in the region, with lower-level health facilities recording the least compliance levels. Health centres and CHPS facilities should be prioritized in distributing limited resources to improve health worker quality of care for antenatal care clients.
