Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the frequency and severity of RSV infection in newborns has increased, and it can result in a serious clinical picture even in full-term babies with no comorbidities. Attention to strict contact precautions, particularly in newborns, who are a more vulnerable population after the pandemic, may play an important role in any future outbreak.
