Value of transrectal color Doppler ultrasound of the common penile arteries in the diagnosis of arteriogenic erectile dysfunction: A pilot study.

TR-CDU proved to be a feasible and non-invasive procedure, easily repeatable and not time consuming, overcoming the limits of PDDU-ICI. Diagnostic accuracy seems to be promising in discriminating patients with normal erectile function or mild dysfunction from those with moderate to severe ED. However, these findings need to be verified in future controlled randomized clinical trials.
