The utility of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy with renal function preservation, regardless of warm ischemia time, compared with laparoscopic radical nephrectomy.

Our results demonstrate the efficacy and safety of LPN in patients with T1 renal cell carcinoma. Although complication rates were similar in both groups, post-operative renal function was not different between the LPN-A and -B groups.
