WWI established a negative association with TBS and a positive association with the risk of DBMA. Clinicians should be alert to the potential risk of DBMA among individuals with high WWI. Moreover, WWI, alone or in combination with BMI, has the potential to serve as an early screening strategy in identifying individuals with DBMA.
