The mature mast cells have oval-shaped nuclei, cytoplasmic hypogranulation and spindle-shaped cytology. or well-differentiated displaying a round nucleus with condensed chromatin, and abundant dense cytoplasmic granulations. Immature mast cells include promastocytes and metachromatic blast-like forms.
