Income from nutrition and oral health management among long-term care insurance facilities in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.

Most facilities consulted with private dental clinics, and 16% of the facilities employed dentists or dental hygienists to help residents manage oral ingestion problems and oral health maintenance. The facility income associated with management of these problems was significantly higher in facilities employing dental professionals.
