AIM-VA estimates of VA were equivalent to FrACT and ETDRS. AIM-VA can be estimated in approximately the same time as ETDRS and with comparable test-retest reliability. AIM-VA is an intuitive, self-administered, adaptive, and personalized method that provides reliable and repeatable estimates of VA and additional performance outcomes. AIM's orientation judgement approach is generalizable to interrogate many other visual functions, e.g., contrast, color, motion, stereo-vision.
