Reference Intervals for biochemical markers, such as those comprising the fasted lipid profile vary in different populations and are affected by age, sex, ethnicity, and life style (1, 2). To address this gap for healthy adults living in Iran, we aimed to conduct a study in which normative percentiles of serum total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C and triglyceride were established. Both reference intervals and normative percentiles were determined in this study for the northeastern Iranian population.
