Comparison of arterial spin labeling perfusion with dynamic susceptibility contrast perfusion in Moyamoya disease.

ASL perfusion CBF maps do not match the DSC perfusion CBF maps and rather match the TTP maps of DSC perfusion. This is explained by inherent problems in estimation of CBF in these techniques because of delay in arrival of label (in ASL perfusion) or contrast bolus (in DSC perfusion) due to the presence of stenotic lesions.
