N -(5-Acetyl-4-methyl-pyrimidin-2-yl)benzene-sulfonamide, C 13 H 13 N 3 O 3 S, was sythesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In the crystal, π-π inter-actions between the phenyl and pyrimidine groups of neighbouring mol-ecules form mol-ecular chains parallel to [010]. Adjacent mol-ecular chains are linked by N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the pyrimidine and amine groups of neighbouring mol-ecules, resulting in a three-dimensional network.
