Although vaginal childbirth is associated with symptoms of prolapse, the number of vaginal births does not alter the relationship between symptoms and signs of prolapse among individuals presenting to a tertiary care center for evaluation. Previously published limits for "normal" pelvic organ mobility can be used irrespective of vaginal parity.
