Among men, mLOY was associated with elevated risk of incident atrial fibrillation. Further, we found suggestive evidence linking mLOX to atrial fibrillation risk among women. Taken together, mLOY and mLOX potentially reflects sex-specific factors related to the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation.
