Racial Disparities in Cigarette Smoking Behaviors and Differences Stratified by Metropolitan Area of Residence.

Our findings show that Black individuals living in non-metropolitan areas do not, in aggregate, have more cigarette smoking exposure relative to White individuals. Additional research is needed to further understand smoking-related exposures and other factors that may contribute to lung cancer disparities, especially in non-metropolitan areas.
