Diagnostic workup must ensure that diagnosed diseases are responsible for such complaints, thus enabling appropriate therapy. In this context assessment consists of clinical examination, functional tests, and imaging, which should be done in a staged manner. Close cooperation between clinicians and clinical radiologists enables optimal diagnostics, thus forming the basis for appropriate therapy.
