Flavone, flavanone and flavonol metabolism from soybean and flaxseed extracts by the intestinal microbiota of adults and infants.

The present study found that deglycosylation reactions were the main reactions and accelerated the formation of more bioavailable flavonoids, with greater biological activity, in most of the individuals. However, other reactions also occurred, including the total or partial catabolism of flavonoids. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry.
