Fresh embryo transfer under supraphysiological level of estrogen exposure may increase the birth defect rate of ART singletons. Even after prenatal screening and diagnosis, a part of birth defect could not be detected during pregnancy. When the estrogen levels on trigger day were no lower than 3000 pg/ml, FET should be advocated to reduce the occurrence of such risk.
