HRQOL and health utility scores of patients undergoing Home HD were similar to those undergoing PD and community in-centre HD. Better physical aspects of HRQOL and health utility was observed in PD and community-based HD than hospital in-centre HD, providing evidence for the increase in capacity of non-hospital-based HD, which provided flexibility as well as patient centredness and empowerment in Hong Kong.
