The effect of initial periodontal treatment on gingival crevicular fluid galectin-3 levels in participants with periodontal disease.

The results of this study suggest that GCF galectin-3 level is a potential biomarker for the evaluation of gingival inflammation and initial periodontal treatment is effective in decreasing GCF galectin-3 level.
