Using contact tracing data of a Marburg virus disease outbreak in United Republic of Tanzania seeded by a cross-border traveller, we estimated the serial interval of Marburg virus human-to-human transmission with mean of 11.3 days (95% credible interval [CrI]: 8.1, 15.4), and SD of 9.3 days (95% CrI: 6.1, 13.2).
