Development of the first microsatellite markers using high-throughput sequencing for a hexaploid coastal species, Tournefortia argentea L. f. (Boraginaceae).

In this study, we report the development of 35 polymorphic microsatellite markers based on Illumina high-throughput sequencing. These markers will facilitate the investigations of genetic diversity, population structures and evolutionary history of T. argentea.
