Patients undergoing THA with a thin liner were not significantly predisposed to higher rates of revision surgery or poorer clinical outcomes at short-term follow-up when compared to those who received a thicker liner. Consequently, further long-term studies regarding the utility of thin HXLPE implants in reducing complications should be pursued.
