 This study supports the safety of lateral shoulder arthroscopy in dogs. Most local neurovascular structures are unaffected with traditional scope portal positions. Musculotendinous lesions are unavoidable due to the extensive muscling surrounding the shoulder but are unlikely to cause severe complications postoperatively.
