Cefmetazole was not inferior to the other antibiotics in the treatment of pyelonephritis caused by ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae in children. Cefmetazole is a valuable therapeutic alternative to carbapenems for treating pyelonephritis caused by ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae.
