Pollen Allergy Screening with Allergen-Specific and Total Immunoglobulin E Titers.

Cedar pollen-specific immunoglobulin E titers showed sufficient accuracy for use in pollen allergy screening. The study of cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants suggested that subjects who tested positive for pollen often had false-positive results due to the impact of cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants.
