Half of patients with newly diagnosed IBD had inflammation in their peripheral joints and/or entheses, documented by rheumatological clinical and ultrasound evaluations. This indicates a need for multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure an optimal therapeutic strategy for suppressing inflammation in all disease domains.
