The presence of retro-micrognathia along with a protruding tongue and severe metaphyseal flaring can suggest a diagnosis of BOCD, when prenatal ultrasound findings are indicative for LSD. The diagnosis can be ascertained through postmortem clinical and radiological evaluation and/or molecular testing.
