Only complete ablation of the well-restricted SOZ concordant with the PEZ was associated with long-term SF, whereas partial ablation of the PEZ might lead to SF with eventual seizure recurrence. Failure to identify PEZ and ablation limited to the SOZ often led to one to two months of SF.
