The Burden of Hypertension and Associated Factors Among Adults Visiting the Adult Outpatient Department at Yekatit 12 Hospital Medical College, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2016.

Prevalence of hypertension was high in the study area, and a large proportion of them were also newly diagnosed. Factors like age, family history of hypertension, diabetes, obesity, knee arthritis, and exercise were found to be independent predictors of hypertension. Therefore, we recommend people who have these risk factors to have screening for hypertension.
