Oral liquid-based brush cytology cell block immunocytochemistry provides a reliable strategy to investigate oral mucosal epithelial disorders. This approach presents a minimally invasive, highly accurate and non-technically demanding method for the surveillance of oral potentially malignant disorders and squamous cell carcinoma.
