NUC is more common than previously reported and shows higher predilection for obese postmenopausal females. Undiagnosed hyperparathyroidism shows a possible association with NUC. Lupus anticoagulants were positive in most patients. NUC biopsies are more likely to display extravascular calcium deposition than UC biopsies.
