• The timing of the infection during pregnancy (first and second trimester, ORa=4.47) and antenatal imaging lesions (ORa=8.02) are independently predictive (in a multivariate analysis) of inner ear involvement. • The symptomatic status at birth is a poor predictor of inner ear impairment.
