Most orthopaedic surgery residency programs do not have accessible parental leave policies on their websites. The new Accreditation Council for GME mandate will require orthopaedic residency programs to provide residents with 6 weeks of paid parental leave during residency training. Accessible policies may be useful to applicants interested in child rearing during orthopaedic residency training.
