The authors present a rare case of a combination of axial loading and varus injury to the knee, which caused splaying of the medial tibial plateau with an undisplaced LCL avulsion, managed with single rim plating, which is a relatively new method of fixation that obviated the need for 2 separate implants, with good functional outcome.
