Qualitative Assessment of the Experiences of Transgender Individuals Assigned Female at Birth Undergoing Gender-Affirming Mastectomy for the Treatment of Gender Dysphoria.

This study presents the first qualitative data based on the lived experiences of transgender individuals AFAB who underwent gender-affirming mastectomy. These qualitative themes should be heavily considered when creating a quantitative PROM that will fully capture the changes transgender individuals AFAB experience from before-to-after gender-affirming mastectomy.
