Investigating relationship dynamics and their impact on dyads and chronic HF self-care is vital. Where possible, healthcare providers should prioritise dyadic care when caregivers are involved and deliver individualised care to improve patient and caregiver outcomes. Assessing and optimising dyadic relations, addressing individual perceptions and needs as part of clinical care, and before implementing self-care interventions in research may help ensure that self-care is appropriately tailored and would not be hindered by relationship conflicts.
