Nanomedicine offers potential benefits in the treatment of patients in the field of otolaryngology due to enhanced control over drug release, cell-specific targeting, and the potential to reduce drug toxicity. Future work is needed to ensure the safety of these therapies to integrate this field of research into human therapies.
