Transgender and Gender Nonbinary Patient Experiences in the Emergency Department: A Regional Study.

This study demonstrated that there are significant differences between reported best and worst ED experiences by transgender patients, and thus areas for ED improvement. It is our recommendation that EDs provide the opportunity for patients to supply their pronouns, and offer trainings in transgender health care for employees.
