Infant Mortality Rates Among US-Born and Foreign-Born Latinx Women: The Effect of Black Race.

Black race is associated with a 1.4-fold higher IMR among births to US-born Latinx women. A similar phenomenon does not occur among foreign-born Latinx women. These intriguing findings highlight that the social construct of Black race across the life-course of Latinx women are detrimental to infant outcome.
