A two-step process (reductive catalytic fractionation followed by FeCl3 catalysis) allows the fractionation of all the three biopolymers (cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin) in Eucalyptus biomass, which provides a promising strategy to make high-value chemicals from sustainable biomass.
