A systematic review of clinical trials of treatment regimens in HER2-amplified metastatic colorectal cancer.

The data we review here from seven clinical trials demonstrates that the use of anti-HER2 therapies in colon cancer is a viable treatment option. In general, anti-HER2 therapy exhibits a favourable toxicity profile compared with other targeted approaches; however, there is work to be done on optimizing patient selection and understanding mechanisms underlying resistance to therapy.
