Background: The Mutations in the additional sex combs like the 1 ( ASXL1 ) gene were first reported in Myelodys plastic syndromes. Recent studies have clarified the relationship between ASXL1 mutation and the development of cancers. Moreover, ASXL1 has role in poor overall survival and metastasis. ASXL1 encodes conserved and abundant Circular RNAs (circRNAs) as post-transcriptional regulators and regulates tumorogenesis and progression in cancer. ASXL1 circRNA was mentioned as the top 10% of differentially expressed circRNAs in hierarchical clustering in clinically relevant tissues. This study aimed to review the ASXL1 and the ASXL1 CircRNAs roles, such as epigenetics regulation, chromatin modification, and transcription factor function in malignancies. At last, their role in metastasis and survival was summarized.
