• The overall prevalence of bone metastases was 7% in the case of newly diagnosed intermediate- and high-risk prostate cancer. • The prevalence in high-risk patients was 10%, and no metastases were seen in patients with Gleason grade group ≤ 3. • The pelvic skeleton is the main site, and no metastases occurred in the spine without concomitant pelvic metastases.
