Learning points for clinicians. The absence of tactile feedback is a technical challenge in robot-assisted surgery (RAS). As a result, mechanical compression of vascular tissue by the robotic arm can cause vascular injury, including arterial dissection. Therefore, intraoperative monitoring of the vascular status of the lower limb may be important during intrapelvic RAS surgery.
