Prenatal surgery in fetal myelomeningocele with severe ventriculomegaly.

Although fetuses with MMC and severe ventriculomegaly do not seem to benefit from fetal surgery in terms of postnatal hydrocephalus treatment, they benefit from increased chance of preserved motor function at birth. Results from this study highlight the benefits of having prenatal MMC repair for cases with severe ventriculomegaly at referral to preserve motor function. This article is protected by copyright.
