This letter describes an iron-catalyzed C(sp3)-H acyloxylation of aryl-2 H azirines with hypervalent iodine(III) reagents (HIRs) serving as both an oxidant and a reagent. This methodology provides a rapid access to a wide range of monoacyloxylated 3-aryl-2 H-azirines in moderate to good yields.
