A Fe(III) intercalated montmorillonite nanoplatform (Fe-MMT) was engineered for doxorubicin (DOX) loading. The constructed Fe-MMT/DOX nanoplatform could not only improve the production of H 2 O 2 to enhance chemodynamic therapy but interfere with DNA damage repair to amplify the efficacy of DOX, proving an ideal combination of chemotherapy and chemodynamic therapy.
